Grange-over-Sands offers a relaxing holiday in a quieter part of Cumbria, away from the crowds of the central Lake District. For the more intrepid there are guided walks across Morecambe bay and the Cumbria Cycle Way. These can easily be combined with the excellent public transport by road or rail to provide a convenient return journey. Grange is also a haven for wildlife – if you tread quietly, you may spot deer, badger and a range of wild birds.

Known as the Lake District Riviera due to one of the mildest climates in the North, Grange enjoys a calm and sheltered coastal position. Its independent shops and local events reflect the sense of community in this rural town and you'll find the locals friendly and welcoming.
